Church History

In 2010 New Life Church Celebrated 25 years of seeing people being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Our building is located north of Rochester, with direct access to US 31. In more ways than one we believe that we are the Northern Gate Keepers to the city.  However, prior to us taking possession of our building, it originated as the John Deer Dealership in 1971.  Yet, only the LORD knew that instead of sending tractors and combines into the harvest, one day there would be men and women being sent from this place into the harvest of the LORD.  Over the years there have been many different avenues through which the body of Christ at New Life Church has been sent into the harvest.  We hosted a Christian School that not only trained people in righteousness, but also in quality scholastic education.  Our school trained students for a season, but now the LORD has changed the focus of our church as He has changed pastors.  For almost 20 years New Life Church was under the shepherding ministry of one pastor.

Then in 2005  Bill and Missy came to  New Life Church, bringing an enthusiasm and blessing to our church.  After 7 wonderful years God called them overseas, resigning in May of 2012.

After much prayer and seeking the Lord, God brought Pastor Rick and Terrie Smail to New Life in February 2013. They have been sent here to continue in the rich heritage of New Life and welcomed all who wanted to be a part of the continued vision of our church.

Ushering in the next generation, God raised up from within the local body Pastor John and Ashley Hayes, stepping into the pastorate role in September of 2020.  Following the retirement of Pastor Rick, Pastor John continues to let Holy Spirit lead the congregation and has a heart for body ministry. Pastor John and Ashley were released from the call of leading the flock at New Life in 2023.

God is continuing to write the history of this local church body today as they continue in His journey for us.
