Lead Pastors John and Ashley Hayes
Having been in the community for a while, Pastor John and Ashley started attending service at New Life in 2013. Ashley is a native to Rochester and John moved to surrounding area in 2004. Rochester is their home and have a love for the community. After serving in various roles at New Life, John transitioned from Associate Pastor to Lead Pastor in 2020.
The work of five-fold ministry according to Ephesians is to “equip the saints for the work of ministry” and they do that with vigor and purpose. Their presence in Rochester is purposed by God and they are blessed to be a part of such a great community. They both have a passion for body ministry and encourage the church to function as the body of Christ. There is a unique bond that occurs when believers gather together and praise God in unity. God has given them a shepherds heart and a vision for Rochester and the surrounding communities.
John is also a manager in the engineering group at a nearby company. John and Ashley have been married for 12 years and have 2 beautiful daughters. They spend a lot of time outdoors and enjoy seeing God’s creation.
