When Isaac settled in the Valley of Gerar, he came to the place that his father Abraham had dug wells.  Although these were a part of his family’s wells, he had to redig the old wells and then deal with quarrels over them, so he dug new wells as well.  Such a timely word as Nancy unpacks this passage and how we can relate to it today.
